The TVET Authority Director – General Dr. Kipkirui Langat has today signed Performance Contracts with different section heads for the Financial Year 2020/21.
Some of the officers who signed the PCs include Deputy Director Outreach Services Ms Bibiana Otieno, Deputy Director Compliance and Enforcement Mrs Josephine Kasera, Deputy Director Research and Development Dr Osawa Otta, Deputy Director Standards Development Mr Edward Mburu and Deputy Director Strategy and Planning Timothy Nyongesa.
Others were Assistant Directors Finance and Accounts Mr Emmanuel Korir, Human Resource Esther Mukiha, Corporate Communication Mr James Momanyi, Senior Supply Chain Management Officer Mr Henry Obatsa, Head of Audit David Njoroge, Records Management Ms Ruth Kabiro and ICT Officer Wilberforce Imbayi among others present.
This is the third level signing of Performance Contracts for the Financial Year 2020/2021. This level of signature involves the CEO and all heads of department/unit.
The first level was the commitment between the Chair of Board of Directors (for and on behalf of TVETA) and the Cabinet Secretary – Education (for and on behalf of the Government). The second level of signing was between the CEO and the Chair of Board of Directors.
The signing was done cognisant of the fact that delay in signing the cascaded Performance Contracts does not affect commencement of their implementation. The Contracts eventually link specific deliverables and targets to individual officers through work plans and the TVETA staff performance appraisal tool.
