The Chairperson of the TVETA Board Prof. Florence Indede led a team of the TVETA Board of Directors in a stakeholder engagement for the dissemination of the quality audit reports for the FY 2022/23 for the TVET Institutions in western Kenya region.

The engagement started with a visit to the office of the CECM for Education in Bungoma County where discussions were held with the county teams on the quality audit reports for the Vocational Training Centres in Bungoma County. Thereafter, the team visited Wamunyiri VTC, to familiarize themselves with the status of the institutions in the County that are under the devolved governments.

In the afternoon, the team visited Webuiye West TVC, another sampled institution to familiarize themselves with the institutions under the National Government and appreciate the process of quality audit execution in TVET institutions.

During the stakeholder engagements, the teams also participated in tree-growing activities in the institutions visited.

Other Directors accompanying the Chair included Dr. Esther Gacicio, Eng. Dr. Edward Odhong, Mrs. Njambii Muchane, and Ms. Valerie Akinyi from the COG. The members of management accompanying the board were led by Dr. Paul Wanyeki, the acting Director of Standards Development, Compliance, and Enforcement who represented the DG, and officers from the head office, the Kisumu, and Eldoret regional offices.
